Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Spyglo. Spyglo is owned and run by Ginger Onion, 20-26 Albert Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 1PR (“we”, “us”). By using the site or subscribing to Spyglo Pro, you agree to them.
What Spyglo is
Spyglo reads the public pages of a website you give it (its homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt) and produces an automated SEO and GEO (generative engine optimisation) report. It’s a diagnostic tool. It isn’t a guarantee of search rankings, AI citations or any business result. Scores reflect a technical check at one point in time, not a certification.
Fair use
- Only check sites you own or run, or that you have permission to check, such as a client’s. Spyglo is a self-service audit tool, not a general-purpose scraper.
- Don’t use Spyglo to try to access, probe or overload systems you’re not authorised to test.
- Don’t automate high volumes of checks in a way that slows the service down for everyone else.
- We may limit, block or close access for use that looks like abuse, without notice.
The free plan
Your first check needs no account. A free account gives you unlimited checks once your email is verified, every plain-English fix and saved reports for up to 2 sites. It’s free for good, not a trial, though features may change as Spyglo develops.
Spyglo Pro and billing
- Spyglo Pro is £18 a month (GBP), billed monthly through PayPal until you cancel. We email you before every renewal.
- You can cancel any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future payments, and you keep Pro until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- If a payment fails, you have 7 days to sort it in PayPal before your account moves to the free plan.
- If you’re a UK consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of subscribing for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as long as you haven’t made real use of the Pro features. Email hello@spyglo.com.
- Prices may change. If they do, we’ll tell you before your next renewal at the new price.
No warranty
Spyglo is provided “as is”. We don’t promise that findings are complete or error-free, or that acting on them will improve your search or AI visibility. Search engines and AI services decide their own rankings and citations, which we don’t control.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, our liability for any claim about your use of Spyglo is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost rankings. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and give Pro subscribers reasonable notice of anything that affects billing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
