Why you run the questions yourself
AI answers change almost every time you ask. Research by SparkToro and Gumshoe found fewer than 1 in 100 runs of the same question gave the same list of brands. So any tool that shows a single “AI ranking” is guessing. The honest measure is how often you’re named across a set of real questions, which is what this test gives you.
Asking each assistant yourself also keeps everything within their terms of use. Automated tools that fire questions at ChatGPT by the thousand aren’t allowed to, and they can’t see the answers you’d actually get.
How to read your score
- Named in most answers: AI assistants know who you are and trust what they find. Keep your website, Google Business Profile and reviews up to date.
- Named in some: you’re on the edge. Answers that name rivals instead show who the assistants see as the safer choice.
- Named in none: common for small businesses, and usually fixable. Assistants recommend businesses they can reach, read and trust.
What helps you get named
- Make sure AI bots can read your site. Our AI Crawler Checker shows this in seconds.
- Say clearly on your site what you do, where, and for whom, in words customers use. Add real facts: prices from, years trading, areas covered.
- Keep your Google Business Profile complete and collect genuine reviews. Our review link tool makes asking easy.
- Get mentioned elsewhere: local press, trade bodies, directories and community sites. Mentions across the web track closely with being recommended.
Spyglo Pro tracks these questions for every site you look after, month by month, alongside your rivals.
